Working toward a goal gives you something tangible to work toward. You are then able to gauge your progress and continue getting results in your training.
Setting specific fitness goals can help you because they will hold you accountable. If you create a goal, then you have made yourself responsible for achieving it.
By holding yourself responsible, it gets harder to make excuses. Rather than skipping out on that 5 am workout, your fitness goal can help you get out of bed. If you’re tempted to head home after work and get comfortable on the couch, your goals can motivate you to make it to the gym.
